Richard Parraga's Awards

Richard Parraga’s work has earned widespread recognition across Oregon’s fine arts community. His painting Point Lookout received First Place, Best of Class, and Best of Show at the 2009 Marion County Fair, and went on to win the prestigious Oregon Art Award at the State Fair’s Best of County Fair Display. For thirteen consecutive years, his paintings were juried and exhibited at the Oregon State Fair Fine Arts Department, a testament to his enduring talent and creative vision.

Beyond the fairgrounds, Richard’s art reached cultural milestones—his piece The Rose was selected as cover art for the Oregon Symphony Orchestra’s December 2011 program featuring world-renowned conductor and violinist Pinchas Zukerman. Over the years, he earned five Best of Show awards, five Best of Class Rosettes, and numerous ribbons from the Marion County Fair judges. His work has also been displayed in state offices and supported charitable causes, reflecting not only artistic mastery but a deep commitment to community.
